Terms of Service
Draft — not yet published
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of BarrelTaster, operated by [legal entity name] (“BarrelTaster,” “we,” “us”). By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. Eligibility — 21 and over
You must be at least 21 years old to browse, purchase, or receive wine from BarrelTaster. By using the site you represent that you are 21 or older and that any recipient of a shipment is also 21 or older. A valid government-issued ID and an adult signature are required at delivery.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Orders, pricing, and payment
All prices are in U.S. dollars. We may correct pricing errors and cancel or limit orders at our discretion. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. Placing an order is an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline.
5. Alcohol & regulatory compliance
Wine is sold and title passes in [state of sale / licensing structure]. We ship only to jurisdictions where direct-to- consumer wine shipment is lawful and where we are licensed; see our Shipping Policy. Orders to ineligible destinations will be cancelled and refunded.
6. Shipping, risk of loss, and delivery
Delivery requires an adult 21+ with valid ID to sign. Risk of loss passes per our [shipping terms / Incoterms equivalent]. See the Shipping Policy for timing, carriers, and weather handling.
7. Returns and refunds
Refunds and replacements are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy. Because these are alcoholic beverages, returns are restricted by law.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site, resell wine purchased for personal use, circumvent age or geographic restrictions, or interfere with the site’s operation or security.
9. Intellectual property
The site, its content, and the BarrelTaster marks are owned by us or our licensors and may not be used without permission.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
[Counsel to provide warranty disclaimer and liability cap language consistent with governing law.]
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing state]. [Counsel to specify dispute resolution / arbitration / venue.]
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
